Alan (Blade) Cowles
January 26, 1986 - August 01, 2026Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Luke Cowles, affectionately known to many as Alan Blades, who passed away in Seymour on 1 August 2026 at the age of 40.
Born in Yea, Alan was the beloved son of Bronwyn and Alex, cherished brother of Tony and Glenda, and devoted father to his son, Brendon.
Alan was a proud supporter of the Hawthorn Football Club and was well known throughout his community for his generosity, loyalty and willingness to help others. If someone needed a hand, Alan was the kind of person who would do whatever he could to assist, often putting the needs of others before his own. His kindness, humour and friendship touched many lives and will be remembered by all who knew him.
Alan leaves behind a loving family and many friends who will miss him dearly but will forever cherish the memories he created and the difference he made in their lives.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Alan's life will be held at Central Church Seymour on Monday at 11:00 am. Family, friends and all whose lives were touched by Alan are warmly invited to attend.
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed, and forever dear."
