July 20, 1945 - July 24, 2024Obituary
Elvis Carruthers, age 79 of San Antonio, Texas passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 20, 1945, in Fort Worth, Texas, Elvis was a beacon of joy and faith throughout his life.
As a teenager, Elvis moved to Los Angeles, California, where he attended Fremont High School. He later settled in Fontana, California, with his family, where he became a respected member of his community. Elvis devoted over 20 years to serving the State of California, working for both the California Lottery and Caltrans, specializing in bridge and guardrail maintenance.
Elvis was known for his infectious charm, sharp wit, and delightful sense of humor. His laughter and smile were gifts to all who knew him, and his love for his family was evident in every interaction. His generosity and joy enriched the lives of those around him.
In his retirement, Elvis returned to Texas to be near his daughter, embracing this new chapter with the same warmth and love he had always shown. His faith and love for his family sustained him through his final days.
