Obituary

Kathryn (Kathy) Cihon has passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. In her younger years, she could be found among many friends at the bar or on the back of a Harley. She lived life to the limit and truly lived up to the name "Kat", as she had 9 lives. She also loved sea shell hunting in the Outer Banks, cooking new recipes she would find online, visiting casinos to play slot machines, and being a 'Mimi' to her grandkids. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Nellie and Thomas Cihon, and her grandson, Tristan Shai Mitchell, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends that have gone before her. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Torean and grandchildren, Nelleia, Thoren, Chloe, and McKenzie, her non-biological "children" that she loved as her own, such as Tiffany, Bailey, and many others, as well as brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and beloved friends. As per Kathy's request, no services will be held. Cremation is being performed by Vrabel Funeral Home.
