Lynn Jerome Washington was born on January 20, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan to Geraldine (Edwards) Washington and Joseph G. Washington. He passed away in White Settlement, Texas, on June 9, 2026.

Lynn was an avid reader and enjoyed sports and spending time with family.

Lynn accepted Christ in his life and was a member of the Western Hills United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a go-getter and loved his job at Haltom City Library. He received his Associate of Arts in 2017 and his library tech certification *with distinction* from Tarrant County College in 2016.

He will be greatly missed. He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Shanita D. Washington and Stephanie L. (Washington) Popoola; siblings, Linda Flonoury, Derrick Washington, and Sandra Washington; grandchildren, Shantinique Spicer, Takeyshia Spicer, Makayla Washington, and Oreofeoluwa Popoola; great-grandson Kason Spicer; nieces and nephews, Tanesha Gordon, Shenika Brown, Sean Washington, Ashley Allen, Darrion Washington, Joi Washington, Sherrell Dunbar, Blake Washington and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
