Nkechinyere Ogbonna
August 09, 1953 - August 25, 2025Obituary
MAMA ASNATH NKECHINYERE OGBONNA (1953–2025)
Mama Asnath was born on 9th August 1953 into the humble and godly family of Boniface and Happiness Ikejiaku of Ezeoke Nsu, Ehime Mbano LGA, Imo State. She later married her devoted husband, Mr. Hezekiah Obioma Ogbonna, and together they built a home rooted in love, discipline, and unshakeable faith in God. A devout Christian and a woman of exceptional industry, Mama carried a unique passion for catering, a gift that blossomed into a lifelong calling. Her remarkable culinary skills opened doors beyond borders. She journeyed to Cameroon, where she established one of the most renowned restaurants in the region, a thriving enterprise that flourished for over two decades and touched countless lives through her hospitality. Renowned for her resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment to excellence, Mama distinguished herself in every community, association, and organization she joined. Her zeal for success, even in unfamiliar environments, made her a beacon of inspiration to many. Above all, she was a devoted mother who, through sheer hard work and selflessness, single-handedly raised and educated her six children; Chisara, Chukwunenye, Onyinyechi, Chikerenwa, Odinakachi, and Uzoma ensuring each one attained quality education from primary to university levels. Her sacrifices, love, and strength remain deeply engraved in the hearts of her family. Mama Asnath was a mother to all: a patient listener, a generous giver, a woman whose heart was always open to help, whether she had little or much. She lived a life marked by love, service, humility, and faith, fighting valiantly until the very end. May you rest, Mama, in the Lord who has called back to be with Him, Amen.
