Peter Hill

Peter was born in Portland, Maine, the oldest of 6 children. The family moved to California when he was young. He passed away peacefully on August 15 surrounded by family. He was 88 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Janet, of 64 years; sons and daughters-in-law ~ Gregg and Maria; and Phil and Patricia, all of Rocklin; Granddaughter Vanessa; Grandson Eddie; and sisters Susan Sykes of Lincoln and Olive Hill of Placerville.

Peter's occupation was regional planning and development. He was known primarily for his devoted service to the Rocklin community. Having served 30 years on the Rocklin City Council, including 6 terms as Mayor, he was the longest-serving Councilmember in Rocklin's history.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a date and place to be determined. Please check back here in the coming weeks as we plan for the event.
