Suzanne Hysell

Suzanne Mae Hysell passed away on September 20, 2026 in Traverse City, MI after a brief illness. She was born in Detroit, MI to George J. Witzman and Clara M. (Hatt) Witzman. She was the sister of Patrick, Michael, George, Gerald, and Corky. Suzanne had a long career working for several banks in Michigan and Arizona. She enjoyed rock ‘n roll music and antiquing. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, and beadwork. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on her home teams. Suzanne’s favorite holiday was Halloween. She is survived by her daughters; Tammy Hysell (Matt Williams) of Cadillac, Christine (Mike) Heron of Fenton, and her son Timothy II (Sarah) Hysell of Traverse City. She leaves behind grandchildren Joshua (Sarah) McDaniel, Jordan (Richard) Stahr, Danielle (Austin Gillim) Heron Gillim, Matthew Heron, Andrew Heron, Gavin Hysell, Gillian Hysell and Sloane Hysell. There are 4 great-grandchildren. Suzanne is survived by one sister-in law, Susie Witzman of Knoxville, TN and several nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of life announced at a later date.
