Celebrating the Life of

William Jeffrey Oliver

Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William Jeffrey Oliver, affectionately known as “Will” to most, but “Jeff” to his mother, Sylvia. He was born on April 12, 1966, in Queens, New York, and peacefully passed away on November 20, 2024, in Clover, South Carolina.

Will was the son of William James Oliver (deceased) and Sylvia Oliver, and the beloved brother of Sharnda Beatty (Antonio). He was raised in New York City, where he graduated from Francis Lewis High School and later attended Howard University.

Throughout his life, Will had a diverse and fulfilling career, starting as a corrections officer and eventually transitioning to become a dedicated insurance agent. Known for his infectious sense of humor, he was also a skilled handyman, able to fix almost anything with his hands and ingenuity. But beyond his many talents, it was Will’s generous spirit and deep faith in God that truly defined him.

He had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Will loved to travel, exploring new places and creating memories with his loved ones. His humor and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him, and he will be remembered for his playful spirit and his unwavering love for family and friends.

Will is survived by his mother, Sylvia Oliver Robinson; his sister, Sharnda Beatty (Antonio); his children, Cassandra D’Aguilar, William Oliver, Brianna Oliver, Kamani Oliver, Najee Oliver, and Nalija Oliver; and his former spouses, Leticia Collier and LaTasha Oliver. He also leaves behind a niece Jasmine Beatty, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A private celebration of Will’s life will be held in the coming days. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice in Will’s name, as a testament to his legacy of kindness and compassion.

Rest in peace, Will. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
